Role Overview:
The Fencing Installer a Full-time position and is responsible for constructing and repairing various types of fences and gates. This position requires excellent carpentry skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with different materials to meet client specifications. The Installer will work independently or as part of a team, depending on the project requirements, and will ensure that all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and install fences and gates according to project specifications
- Site preparation including organizing of excavation and grading
- Coordinate with warehouse team to ensure delivery of materials to site
- Conduct quality assurance checks during and after installation
- Read and interpret plans and technical drawings
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and address concerns
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably in the fencing industry.
- Proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of various fencing materials and their installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent measurement and mathematical skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and craftsmanship.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physical fitness and stamina for performing manual labour and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
All successful applicants will be required to undergo a Police Check and Working with Children's Check prior to starting.
