Casual Ferry Operator

Ferrymen NSW are the longest serving and most experienced Vehicular Ferry Operators in Australia. 

We have a casual position available to join our team of Ferry Masters operating at Wymah on the Murray River in Southern NSW. Available hours range from 20-30 per week, with potential to become part-time or full-time in the future if available. 

The role includes skippering a wire-drawn ferry vessel across the Murray River at Wymah. The job is well suited to applicants who work well in a team or alone. Previous experience working in the maritime industry, in transport, with large plant or machinery, and with previous experience in WHS and customer service is desirable.

Applicants must be prepared for shift work, including night and weekend work. 

Applicants should have or be ready to obtain the following qualifications prior to commencing employment:

• General Boat Licence
• Domestic Seafarers Medical
• Police Check
• Working with Children Check
• First Aid Certification
• WHS White Card
• Traffic Controller Certification
• Confined Spaces Certification
