Job description

We are mango exporters seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Grafting Specialist and Nursery Supervisor to join our team. This role is pivotal in propagating, improving, and managing our mango tree nursery, ensuring the highest quality of fruit production through expert grafting techniques.

Core Responsibilities:

Field Grafting Specialist Duties: 

  • Propagate, improve, and manage mango trees by grafting desirable scion varieties onto suitable rootstocks.

  • Enhance fruit quality, disease resistance, and growth control through expert grafting and budding techniques.

Nursery Operations Oversight: 

  •  Manage all aspects of the nursery, including propagation, grafting, budding, seed collection, potting, and planting.

  •  Monitor overall health of mango trees, ensuring effective grafting, budding, seed collection, potting, repotting, irrigation, fertilisation, and weed control.

  • Overseeing the cultivation of young plants in the nursery to ensure they receive optimal care and conditions for healthy growth.

  • Conducting thorough inspections for insects and diseases within the nursery, implementing proactive measures to maintain plant health.

  • Managing the nursery inventory to ensure a sufficient quantity of young plants is available for seamless transition and successful growth in the field.
