About the Role:We currently have exceptional opportunities for experienced and capable Field Service Diesel Fitters to join our Mackay based Field Service Department supporting our customer’s fleets of Caterpillar open-cut mining equipment. Ideally you will possess considerable experience diagnosing, repairing and maintaining Large Mining equipment.
In this rewarding role, your key responsibilities will include:Provide maximum satisfaction to our customers by ensuring all maintenance and repairs are carried out to the highest possible standard
Research and consult the correct and latest service information systems for specific procedures, instructions and specifications
Take all reasonable steps to ensure that assigned tasks are free of faulty workmanship assuring quality in the finished product
Ensure repairs are carried out using the appropriate control guidelines to ensure that rework jobs do not occur.Ensure all assigned tasks are completed within required target times
Ensure that the customer is part of the decision process on large dollar value item repair or replacement and is kept informed of all matters in relations to the job, including job progress
Support the sale of genuine parts, and when requested, give guidance and advice to the customer on supply of genuine parts
About YouYou will bring the following skills and experience to the role:Trade qualified with Caterpillar equipment and/or dealership experience.Three to five years’ post trade experience on mining equipment.Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET Vims, SIMSi and SIS) experience is essential
Extensive experience Large and Ultra Class Surface Mining EquipmentAble to maintain a high level of workplace health and safety
