Drill Doctors are the largest independent supplier of aftermarket parts and consumables for blast hole drill rigs in NSW. We support all OEM brands with a wide range of stocked parts. In addition, we provide drill rig rebuilds, overhauls, component repairs, on-site drill technicians, senior tech support and internal manufacturing capabilities.
The Role:
Due to increased growth and demand for our services and products, we seek a capable and experienced Fitter to join our existing Field Service team in the role of Field Service Plant Mechanic.
The role involves working directly with our Customers to service and repair blast hole drill rigs. The location will be predominantly at our Customer’s sites. The type of work ranges from defect repairs, scheduled services, minor rebuilds, troubleshooting and product support.
Understanding the customers' individual machines and their needs will occur over time and is expected.
You will have your own fully equipped Field Service vehicle and be supported by own senior Tech Support team.
To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate the following Skills:
- Qualified Plant Mechanic / Fitter
- Minimum five years of experience working on rotary blast drills, preferably on Sandvik/Drilltech, Bucyrus, Terex/Reedrill, and Caterpillar.
- Proficient in reading and understanding hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
- Strong adherence to Safety practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills, specifically when working with the Customer and their employed staff.
