As the Field Service Technician, you will provide breakdown and general service for all makes of compressors and ancillary equipment and to promote the company’s service ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship.
The position will contribute to the co-ordination, support and day to day running of the company’s Service Business Team. In the event of a breakdown, test the equipment/system and carryout fault finding and repairs.
Position responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Conduct the risk assessment and ensure the working environment is always safe and activities conducted are safe.
- Provide afterhours call out assistance and call back availability when rostered on duty.
- Conduct overnight field trips to service breakdowns, maintenance, and customer support, when required.
- Participate and conduct safety audits for assigned areas.
- Install, repair and maintain the range of Compressors.
- Carry out technical preventative maintenance and general service work.
- Provide Customer support (internal and external) for the assigned equipment.
- Complete all documentation and administrative requirements.
- Ensure company owned equipment & premises are kept in a clean, presentable, and serviceable condition.
- Ability to converse and communicate technical and product information to customers internal and external.
- Knowledge of Compressors or similar is essential.
- Intermediate Computer Skills.
- Demonstrated Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Problem solving and able to determine root cause.
- Trade Qualifications Cert III – Fitter and Turner, highly desirable.
- Minimum 5 years Maintenance experience.
