About the Position
Regional Technical is seeking a field based Service Technician to join our team based in Dubbo NSW and surrounding towns and cities.
You will be responsible for onsite service and repair of clients equipment such as, Self checkout terminals, Cash Redemption Terminals, Cash management Machines and ATM's. Sites include Banks, supermarkets, pubs, clubs and service stations. You will have a varied and interesting day working on a wide range of equipment. Travel throughout the greater Dubbo area will be extensive and a company maintain vehicle will be supplied.
About You
As a person you would be described as someone who has had a long-term interest in technology, mechanical components and computers. You love to get out and about and travel around the Central West of NSW. You are a self starter with a high sense of urgency and great customer service approach. You would also have a natural ability to find faults on equipment that is foreign to you. You will possess excellent written and verbal skills with passion for customer service. Previous experience in the repair of ATM’s and Self Checkout terminals would be a distinct advantage.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Becoming competent in the repair and servicing of a range of cash handling equipment through a on the job and classroom training environment. Equipment would include ATM's, Self checkout systems, Cash redemption terminals, and Cash management machines.
- Having a good ability to liaise professionally with the customers and ensure repair service levels are achieved.
- Communicate effectively to management.
- Maintain and manage client consignment stock.
- Assisting with call management including call creation and closure.
- Being available to assist with occasional on call weekend/public holiday standby paid as overtime.
- Adhering to all work health and safety (WHS) best practice requirements and be able to identify potential hazards to ensure your safety and others in the workplace.
To be successful in this position you will have:
- An Australian drivers licence
- Willingness to supply a National Police Certificate (NPC) as part of onboarding.
- Genuine interest in computers both hardware and software. Possess a field based office/PC equipment repair background such as photocopiers, printers PC's or similar.
- Minimum 2 years experience in the repair of ATM’s and Self Checkouts would also be a distinct advantage.
- A good ability to retain knowledge coupled with a high attention to detail.
- Be able to work autonomously and within a team environment with a great work attitude.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
- Excellent personal presentation, organizational and time management skills.
