My client is a national supplier of sales and service of specialised engineered products primarily into the food and fluid processing industries. The business has been highly active across the Australian market for over 40 years where they have stayed a head of the game with continuously updated product line to meet the ever changing industry demands.
The business is built up of highly experienced management, engineers, technical sales professionals and experienced Service technicians to allow their large industry clients access to a complete turn key solution.
The Role
Due to growth within the company, a full time permanent position has become available for a Service Technician/Maintenance fitter to join their Sydney team. The business is looking for a leader and someone who has goals of eventually moving off the tools and into more of a Service Manager role down the line.
The right applicant for this role will be someone who is experienced as a Service Technician and be knowledgeable on products such as heat exchangers, Valves, Pumps and other instrumentation products that are used in the fluid processing industries.
This role will see you primarily cover the Sydney metro region, attending to the companies clients, however, there will be some infrequent regional travel across NSW as required.
Duties
- Provide all required service work for the companies clients
- Review drawings, service manuals and instructions to ensure accurate assembly/repair
- Knowledge of Australian Standards
- Identify faults and issues and provide accurate products/service works.
- Attend clients sites promptly and on time
- Generate all relevant inspection and repair reports
About You
The right person for this role will be someone who is technically minded, great on the tools, a team player and someone who is also confident in their approach and can carry themselves as a leader.
- Experience working as a Service technician within the same or relevant industries
- Fitter trade qualification
- Forklift license not essential but highly regarded
- Understanding of heat exchangers is highly desirable
- Ability to travel when required
- Hard working but professional attitude
- Eager to grow into a more senior position
