About the role
Reporting to the Field Coordinator we are seeking an experienced Field Services Technician to perform geological assistance duties within the core yard and regional camp environments.
This role is offered on a permanent basis and will have the opportunity to work in various locations throughout Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
The Field Service Technician will perform duties within the core yard and regional camp environments. Our Field Service Technicians are recognised as being critical to making discoveries, which is demonstrated through high levels of collaboration and communication between our geologists and field support team.
These roles are offered on a permanent basis and will be FIFO ex Perth
Broadly, your key responsibilities will include:
- Drill site and fly camp set up, consumable management and demobilisation
- Operation of Forklift and Skid Steer as required
- Sampling core / QAQC (RAB, Air Core, RC, Soil, Auger)
- Ensuring core processing is compliant with Gold Road procedures
- Soil analysis (XRF & Magnus)
- Maintain chip tray and pulp storage and indexing
- Stock take core yard consumables
- Prepare samples for delivery to lab or storage
- Pegging and flagging drill holes
- Vehicle and forklift inspections
- Completion of required health, safety and environmental risk documentation as required
About yourself
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience as a Field Assistant in an exploration environment
- High Risk Work Licence - Forklift (LF)
- HR Driver's licence is desirable
- A strong understanding of core sampling, processing and cutting
- Proven experience in working closely with exploration drill rigs
- A positive attitude, work well in a team environment and passion for exploration
- Advanced First Aid and Resuscitation qualifications
