About the role
We have an opportunity for a motivated, reliable & suitably experienced individual to join our national Engineering Services team, to be located in the NSW Office based in Smithfield, hybrid work is offered when not required at client's site.
The main duties of this role include but are not limited to:
- Providing Condition Monitoring, diagnostic & associated specialist mechanical services on industrial rotating equipment for key customers in the region.
- Working with SKF sales and engineering teams to identify customer reliability opportunities and secure contracts through the provision of SKF services.
- Working in accordance with applicable EHS aspects/ requirements in relation to the area/s of work, taking action as required.
- The duties involve a mix of on-site activities at underground & surface plant, OES workshops together with office work (analysis & reporting).
About you
The successful candidate will have:
- A high level of numeracy, verbal & written communication skills
- A Mechanical or Electrical qualification (trade or tertiary)
- Certified Vibration Analyst Level 2 is preferred or previous experience with vibration analysis will be highly valued.
- Knowledge of bearings, condition monitoring technology, digitalisation, seals and lubrication systems and their application would be advantageous
- Oil Sampling experience and analysis of site assets is desirable.
- Thermography including fault finding, base line/commissioning testing, acceptance testing surveys and reporting is desirable.
- Understanding of reliability engineering and maintenance program elements (lifecycle asset management, configuration management, risk management, loss elimination)
- The flexibility to frequently travel to remote sites.
- An unwavering commitment to safe working practices and compliance with EHS regulations & company procedures.
