Due to significant growth, and the need to service our valued clients across the region, we are looking for an experienced, Full-time, Field Services Technician, to be based out of our Minto office and servicing the greater NSW region.
The role
Reporting to the Manager of our NSW Maintenance Program, and supported by your colleagues, you be responsible for installing, maintaining, and monitoring our traffic systems in the field including fixed and mobile speed cameras. You will regularly travel across NSW, working at heights, conducting root cause analysis and remedying faults or performing preventative maintenance across complex technology that demands mechanical precision (camera systems) and capability in problem solving software/networking faults. This role is pivotal in supporting Verra Mobility's exceptional reputation as a leader in Road Safety Traffic Systems and in ensuring the success of our Field Operations team.
This full-time role requires working from an established roster across weekdays and weekends, including public holidays and at times "out of hours" performing vehicle-based field maintenance work as well as office-based compliance and systems support.
As an individual passionate about road safety and with a curious, analytical, and technical mind you will:
- Work in the field and onsite installing, commissioning, and performing preventative and remedial maintenance of Verra Mobility's road safety systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation, records, and reports to support compliance.
- Participate in weekly team initiatives and projects driving continuous improvement, innovation and quality standards.
- Apply a 'safety first' approach to everything you do including operating our company vehicles and maintaining tools and resources to highest standards.
- Act as a highly professional advocate for road safety and as Verra Mobility's representative to our valued customers.
Skills, Experience and Expectations
- Proven capability in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software and hardware.
- Ability to support Network Configuration (LAN/WAN) including cabling and installs.
- Experience in supporting bespoke technology or manufactured inhouse products.
- Working from Heights and Elevated Work Platform (EWP) accreditations (preferred).
- Full, unrestricted, and valid Australian Driver's License.
- Successfully demonstrate a clean Driver History, pass a Pre-Employment Medical examination (including Drug and Alcohol testing) and clear a National Police Check.
