The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Field Technician to join our Networks Capital Delivery team in Eagle Farm, on a Permanent Full-time basis.
Reporting to the Supervisor Field Construction, this role will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of field activities in relation to the construction and maintenance of the gas reticulation system.
Key Responsibilities
- Competent in construction activities related to steel/PE gas mains and services within the natural gas network
- Prioritise and safety carry out all construction activities related to the natural gas network
- Provide compliant hazardous excavations for construction activities
- Operate specialised equipment associated with Hot tap and stopple operations
- Installation/replacement of district regulator pits
About You
- Previous experience in a similar industry is essential
- Trade qualification is highly desirable
- Skills in identifying, locating & protecting underground services
- Steel construction knowledge and skills will be highly regarded
- Ability to undertake excavations of a complex nature, would be advantageous

Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.

Also, we have a strong culture of continuous improvement and working towards Net Zero with the introduction of renewable green gas into the Gas Networks.
