The Role: Formworker (FIFO)

About the Position:
The Catalpa Group are on the look out for Formworkers at all levels to take on our latest project in Kalgoorlie. As a Formworker, you will play a vital role in the creation of temporary structures necessary for concrete construction, ensuring precision, quality, and safety throughout the process. If you are a skilled Formworker with a passion for construction and resource sector projects this is the ideal role for you.
This is a full time casual position working a 2:1 roster flying in and out of Kalgoorlie.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct, assemble, and install formwork structures according to construction plans and specifications.
- Prepare materials such as lumber and plywood, and ensure accurate measurements and cuts for formwork components.
- Ensure proper alignment, level, and plumb of formwork to meet design requirements and ensure quality concrete structures.
- Assist in pouring and spreading concrete into formwork, and support consolidation and finishing as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Inspect formwork for defects, damage, or irregularities, and make necessary adjustments or repairs to maintain structural integrity.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Formworker or similar role in construction.
- Strong carpentry skills including measuring, cutting, and assembling. materials accurately.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Valid Police Clearance (within 12 months).
- WAH and EWP would be advantageous.
- Can commit to a 2:1 Roster (Non negotiable).
