Finance Accountant (Part-Time - 25 Hours Per Week)

The Role

We have a great opportunity for a skilled Finance Accountant to join our Finance Team. Reporting to the General Manager of Finance, you will be responsible for a broad range of financial accounting duties. 

This is a permanent part-time role with a minimum of 25 hours per week. Days and hours of work are negotiable for the right candidate. Hourly pay rate will be between $46-$48 per hour, depending on the successful applicant's ability and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• End of month preparation including reconciliations, journals and accruals
• Maintain the fixed asset register
• Managing accounts receivable functions
• Preparation and lodgement of monthly BAS and Payroll Tax 
• Assist with various ad-hoc duties to support the finance team 
• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders

About you

• Bachelor of Accounting degree “must have”
• 3-5 years’ proven experience in a similar financial accounting position
• Experience using Xero accounting and payroll software
• Driven, passionate and open to performing a broad range of tasks
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Team player who can also work autonomously
• Ability to pass a Police Check
• Ability to pass a Pre-employment Medical, including drug and alcohol screening
