Job description

Build Tech Supplies Pty Ltd have an opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Financial Manager/Payroll Officer to become an integral part of our team. 

About the Role

Established 35 years ago, Build Tech Supplies Pty Ltd is a proudly Tasmanian owned and operated company with offices in Hobart and Devonport. We provide specialised products, technical advice, and solutions for the construction, civil, industrial and maintenance industries.

About You

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a proven track record in financial management. A high level of attention to detail with numeracy, analytical and computer literacy skills are essential. 

You will undertake various roles in the business, be adaptable and versatile to undertake all processes of office administration including debtors, creditors, and Payroll.

You will have solid experience with processing of remuneration, superannuation, leave and PAYG taxation rules. This position will report directly to the Managing Director. 

Key Duties

  • Supporting and reporting to the Managing Director
  • Managing Finance and process payroll operations
  • Review financial data and prepare weekly, monthly, annual reports and budgets
  • Preparation of Australian Taxation Office lodgments, BAS & payroll tax 
  • Manage and oversee other finance team members ensuring accuracy of accounts payable, reconciliations, payroll and expenses

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Minimum 5 years administration experience
  • High level understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience in progressively responsible financial roles, with a track record of leadership and financial management
  • Exposure to Sybiz Accounting and Visipay Systems advantageous
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team

Remuneration

Salary will be negotiated based on qualification & experience. 

Hours: Full-Time
