About the role:
We are currently looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our Corporate Services team in a full time and permanent capacity based at our Market Street head office.
This role will be responsible for partnering with the relevant business to support and provide advice in regards to their strategic and operational decision-making using insight to drive business performance.
Key responsibilities for this role also include preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasting and reporting activities to ensure that the business has appropriate resources for decision making purposes.
The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in providing Business Partner support and have a positive and flexible attitude to work. In addition, you will also have highly developed stakeholder management/relationship building skills and a strong commercial acumen and refined negotiation and influencing skills.
What you’ll deliver:
Provide commercial/financial analysis and recommendations to stakeholders to support decision making
Partner with the business unit management teams in achieving their strategic objectives
Review results of relevant business areas with stakeholders ensuring the information is high quality, results are well understood, and supporting analysis is provided
Manage delivery of monthly business unit business reports, to a high level of quality and efficiency and with sufficient insight to allow appropriate decisions to be made
Support the preparation and co-ordination of the forecasts, budget and 5 year plan to ensure all necessary items are included within targeted expenditure levels
Deliver on an expectation of continuous improvement of processes and performance
Monitor performance and instigate follow up, where required in relation to Service Level Agreements to ensure accurate reporting of revenue and costs
Actively seek efficiencies and improvements via reporting, process or use of systems, working with the Systems Accountant as appropriate.
To succeed in this role, you’ll have:
Tertiary qualifications in business / accounting and CPA/CA qualifications
Extensive experience in the area of Management Accounting/Business Partnering
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles/practices, financial analysis, modelling and business reporting skills
Demonstrated track record in delivering optimal business outcomes
Ability to think strategically and objectively, taking a whole of business approach to decision making, analysis and problem solving
Excellent commercial judgement and an instinct for understanding business drivers and identifying the right business questions
Ability to gain clear agreement and commitment from others by influencing, convincing and building partnerships in order to reach solutions.
