The role requires an experienced accountant, and commercial advisor, who displays the ability to influence business leaders with sound commercial advice and can work seamlessly with confidence with the wider finance team.The role will be pivotal in supporting the planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities of the regional business, as well as providing interpretation and insight into drivers of performance and results, and contributing to evaluation and recommendations of business strategies, opportunities, and proposals.This role will also assist work in conjunction with the ANZ and UK Finance directors to develop pricing and commercial practices and policies. A close relationship with the Group Financial Control and FP&A teams to ensure that the business segments are properly understood, and appropriate accounting treatments applied will be essential.The Specifics
  • As the Senior Finance Business Partner, for the Australian and NZ regions this role will also be a key representative of those Regions externally.
  • The ability to work under virtual team construct across multiple countries and to handle broad responsibilities that may involve a variety of strategic, operational, people, commercial, or financial challenges will be key to success in the role.
  • This role will provide the lead in preparation and providing insights to management (MBR, budget, forecast and QBR’s.) and board reporting.
  • Have questioning commercial insight into business drivers, and the financial consequences of strategic choices.
  • Provide commentary and overview of monthly and periodic performance, as well as for forecasts, strategy, and plan.
  • Actively contribute to the development and execution of the Company’s objectives, business plans and strategic priorities.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across the Group, including the Group’s Executive Leadership Team, the Australian and the NZ & AU Leadership Team and Client Business executives.
What we're looking for (you don’t need to be a guru at all, we’re looking forward to coaching and collaborating with you):
  • Ability to build relationships and truly partner with your stakeholders.
  • An autonomous self-starter – you are proactive and like a challenge.
  • 5-10 years of combined accounting and finance experience in senior positions
  • Experience of working in a Technology or Professional Services business
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS and procedures
  • Ability to understand complex business issues and deal with ambiguity, incomplete information and business decisions involving material financial sums.
  • Reflective and learning mindset, with the ability to self-analyse, seek feedback from others and learn from outcomes or processes that turn out differently (good or bad) from that expected.
  • Qualification as a CA or CPA desirable but not essential
