Job Description
Based in Dandenong, you will report to the head of Project Finance and be a key member of the Project Finance Team in helping support the operations and delivery team on the execution of a large, long-term project.
This will involve program budgeting, forecasting and the management of project capex and opex expenditure.
You will partner closely with a variety of Operations Managers and Directors, and monitor the execution of a broad range of manufacturing activities.
Monthly reporting, and the presentation of insights and analysis is crucial in your role as a project finance support.
The overall success of the project profitability and viability is reliant on your fiscal management, influencing skills and ability to think laterally to solve complex problems.
The Successful Applicant
CA/CPA qualified
Ideal background: Must have experience with specific Project Accounting on a large commercial scale.including complex 3-way budgeting, forecasting and monthly cost control. This could be from infrastructure, defence, transport, automotive, construction or other large-scale project backgrounds.
Technical Skills: Having managed budgeting and forecasting processes and collaboration with other departments, monthly variance and trend analysis, and the ability to present your findings and provide supporting commentary to a Board or Project Meeting. Month-end accounting is important too.
Behavioural attributes: The willingness and ability to develop relationships with operational staked holders, understand cost drivers and influence decision making. Strong emotional intelligence, work-ethic and confidence in presenting skills is required.
