THE ROLE
Finance & Commercial Manager
- You will play a pivotal role in providing commercial and strategic financial advice.
- Responsible for managing financial systems, frameworks and tools, budgeting, accounting, and forecasting.
- Prepare and present reports.
- Provide regular analytical insights for risk mitigation, drive commercial improvements and business optimisation.
- Periodic review of existing systems, and processes and implement system improvements to enhance business operations.
- Cross-functional collaboration with other team members and also coaching, mentoring and supporting the accounts and finance team members with professional development.
- You will play a critical role in engaging with clients and firm focus on service, sales and solutions to help improve and grow the business.
TEAM
Team of 4 People- Accounts Clerk, Management Accountant and Senior Accounts Assistant.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Industry qualified ideally CA or CPA qualified.
- Minimum 4-5 years experience in accounts and finance with a minimum of 2 years leading a small team ideally in a private entity with a focus on Mining Services, Asset Intensive with approx $12-15 Million Revenue per annum.
- Proven capability in strategy and business improvement.
- Sound Finance & Compliance experience.
- Excellent commercial acumen to identify opportunities and solutions.
- End-to-end preparation and processing of finance and accounting-related matters.
- Financial Planning, Forecasting, and Management Reporting.
- Taxation and compliance including Insurance, FBT, GST, ASIC, Licensing, Funding and Legal.
- Cash & Funds Management.
- Liaise with 3rd parties clients, partners, Auditors and Accountants.
- Budgeting.
- Purchasing, Procurement, Servicing and Sales.
- MS Suite, excellent advanced Excel skills.
- Client-centric.

DESIRABLESKILLS EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent Power BI skills.
- Experience in private Mining Services company or asset-intensive.
- Experience in commercial vehicle sales/hire.
- Systems experience with Sage, Sharepoint and Inspire would be highly regarded.
