We are seeking a Finance Officer to join the team in Newcastle, on a full or part time basis.
About the Role:
The Finance Officer will assist the Finance department and a range of internal stakeholders with general accounting duties and system support. Reporting to our Finance Business Partner, you will play a central administration and support role within the broader Finance team.
Key responsibilities for this position will include the following:
- Accounts receivable management including invoice raising, receipting, bank reconciliations, handling internal + external enquiries, regularly following up on overdue accounts and maintaining debtor days targets.
- Accounts payable support including coding and sending invoices for approval, assisting with payment runs, credit card admin and system admin.
- Finance admin including job set-up and support, user maintenance, FBT compliance registers and asset maintenance.
- Supporting the Finance team as a whole with annual audit work, monthly journals and general ad-hoc assistance as required.
About You:
We are looking for an individual who can manage a range of responsibilities to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the wider Finance department.
To be considered for this position you will need the following:
- Demonstrated previous experience in a similar role
- A high level of computer literacy and proficiency using Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple responsibilities
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work to achieve set objectives
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A friendly, proactive and professional demeanour
- Ability to confidently and pro-actively follow up on overdue debtor accounts via both phone and email
- Prior experience with accounts receivable/debtor management essential.

This role is available for immediate commencement. The role can be Full-time or part-time depending on suitability and preference of the candidate.
