The Centre of Financial Excellence (COFE) is a service responsible for ensuring financial processes and reporting are standardised, controlled and efficiently executed across the Group. As a part of the COFE, the Finance Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the Finance Systems Manager in ensuring we drive efficient use of our Finance Systems, furthering developing these in order to deliver greater data analytics and insights. This includes being adaptable and a bit of an all-rounder where you will be providing day-to-day BAU support to our end users, system administration, delivering new starter training and identifying and leading specific improvement projects that impacts our Finance Systems.
This role will have a strong understanding of the Financial Systems landscape and will work closely with Group Finance shared Services and IT to ensure these are fit for purpose. As a trusted partner for internal stakeholders, you’ll also be required to leverage your strong system knowledge and skills to provide advice to various members of the Finance community. This role requires excellent stakeholder management skills and in-depth understanding of integrated financial reporting systems in a large complex organisation.
You’ll have –
5+ years’ experience in a similar position or related field
Tertiary qualifications in a logical and or analytical discipline such as accounting or IT
Strong functional knowledge of Oracle E-Business suite, Oracle Hyperion EPM suite (incl Planning, Essbase, HFM), and BlackLine is highly desirable
Experience working with PowerQuery, PowerBI, PowerAutomate and PowerApps (advantageous)
Good understanding of the full software development lifecycle with an understanding of Agile/DevOps methodology being highly desirable
An understanding of formal project delivery methodologies (eg Prince 2).
Strong data analytics and data visualisation skills
Strong oral/written communication skills with ability to communicate financial and/or technical concepts to non-financial savvy audience
The ability to work independently as well as having the ability to demonstrate effective leadership
A high level of accountability and ability to work to deadlines
Committed to continuous improvement and management of change
An understanding of internal controls, data governance, segregation of duties
