The Role
Reporting to the General Manager - Finance, the Financial Accountant is a pivotal role in the organisation and a senior member of the Finance team.
We’re looking for a diligent accountant who’s experienced in a similar role, and looking to take the next step in their career.
General Functions & Tasks
Working across three companies, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- The timely and accurate presentation of monthly financial reports
- Calculation and processing of fortnightly payroll (end-to-end)
- Reconciliation of inventory (Including costing, WIP, stock take, valuation)
- Management of the fixed assets register
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with the preparation of the annual financial budget
- Calculation and lodgment of payroll tax
- PAYG calculations & reporting
- Quarterly BAS preparation
- Annual FBT preparation
- Overseeing one employee who leads the accounts payable function
The successful candidate will also have:
- a relevant tertiary degree and either working towards or recently graduated as a CA/CPA member;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
- An excellent work ethic, team oriented and clear communication skills
Experience in an FMCG, using Sage 300 and MYOB Advanced will be looked upon favorably, as would the ability to commence immediately.
