SalaryRandstad are working with a leading waste management company, who is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team on a short-term contract basis. This role will be for a 1- 2 month period with a start date of early January 2024.
Position Summary:
As a Short-Term Analyst, you will be responsible for reconciling financial data, identifying and locating invoices, and matching them to corresponding payments. The position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently with large sets of data. The primary goal is to support our finance team in eliminating the existing backlog and ensuring accurate financial records.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial data related to invoices and payments
- Identify and locate missing or unmatched invoices within the existing database
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile discrepancies and ensure accuracy in financial records
- Utilise spreadsheet software and other tools to organise, process, and analyse large volumes of data
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to obtain necessary information and documentation
- Provide regular updates on the progress of reconciliation efforts to the finance manager
- Experience in Accounts Receivable and Reconciliations
- Strong proficiency in spreadsheet software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data
- Analytical mindset with the ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot discrepancies
- Time management skills to meet tight deadlines and work efficiently
- Solid communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
