The role is part of the Financial Control (FC) community of practice, with principal general accountabilities being:

 

  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Implementation and monitoring of the Group’s accounting policies and internal control frameworks
  • Integrity of the numbers by delivering accurate, reliable and timely financial information
  • Driving Future of Finance simplification agenda, ensuring consistency with objectives and a focus on continuous improvement
  • Embedding a robust governance culture

 

In particular, this role is responsible for:

 

  • Accurate and timely delivery of standardised outputs to country that are flexible enough to meet local regulatory reporting requirements, month-end delivery requirements, registers, schedules, reconciliations, trial balance, and ensuring accounting services are completed to support financial reporting and successful audit completion
  • Deliver end to end accountability for centralised country agnostic processes e.g. journals, recs etc.
  • Develop process expertise but maintain flexibility across processes within the Division
  • Ensure quality at source by implementing process level controls
  • Support the monthly financial close process, including finalisation of actuals, month on month analytical review, and appropriate governance activities to support the integrity of the actuals.
  • Build and support an effective and co-operative relationship across both on-shore and off-shore accounting teams to ensure delivery of service
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting work papers on a timely/monthly basis for all designated entities/LOBs, ensuring a robust balance sheet reconciliation and month end process is in place and adhered to.

 

Role Location: Solaris One Building, Makati

Role Type: Permanent, full-time; There are multiple positions available for this role

Shift Schedule: Dayshift schedules will be adhered to

 

 

What will you bring?

 

  • A bachelors’ university degree and be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)
  • Professional experience in financial services roles
  • Solid working knowledge of Financial Control within a financial services environment
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience in presenting finance matters, including issues and resolutions to stakeholders
