Financial Crime team sits within Group Compliance and leads the way in innovative and effective
Financial Crime risk management, supporting our businesses to keep our communities safe from
Financial Crime.Risk is a critical function, with highly valued and innovative teams that enable ANZ to deliver its purpose.The
Financial Crime Advisory Manager (Fraud) is critical to making this happen and will be responsible in assisting the
Financial Crime Advisory (FCA) Leads in supporting specific businesses across ANZ in managing and combating
Financial Crime against ANZ and our customers. This role will be working closely with teams within Australia Retail, Australia Commercial, and Institutional, as well as other divisions and functions across ANZ to support them in managing Fraud Risk.This role would suit a growth mindset problem-solver who would like to join a wider team of Fraud SMEs who have deep
Financial Crime skills and are committed to doing right by both our customers and the bank.
What a typical day might look like…- Providing support to review and challenge on the Financial Crime environment
- Support the Financial Crime Advisory Lead for Fraud in ensuring relevant business units are aware of their Financial Crime related obligations & control objectives, and are responding with relevant controls and testing capabilities
- Providing Financial Crime related support to relevant business units in managing issues and events and potential regulatory interactions
- Provide SME input on fraud risks in the Financial Crime risk assessment processes for new product proposals and variations to existing products and processes.
- Analyse and compile data on fraud trends, testing, risk appetites, financials etc. and provide periodic reporting to management and committees as required
- Participating in relevant internal and industry Financial Crime forums to support the relevant business unit and the Financial Crime portfolio initiatives
- Support the Financial Crime Advisory Lead to ensure material events and matters are escalated to the Head of Financial Crime Advisory or Group MLRO to enable escalation of relevant risks, issues and trends to forums such as Divisional Risk Committees, Financial Crime OREC Sub Committee and/or Board Risk Committee
- Achieve high levels of employee engagement with the relevant business units
- Work closely and collaborate with peers across the Financial Crime Advisory team
- Ensure ANZ's core values are always maintained in dealing with staff, colleagues and customers.
What will you bring?- Strong experience in core Financial Crime areas with a focus on Fraud
- Relevant experience in operational risk management and ANZ's Non Financial Risk/I.AM framework
- Certified Fraud Examiner preferred but not essential
- Working knowledge of relevant business units (ie. systems, products, services, risks and technology)
- Ability to lead and empower individuals
- Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
- Strong relationship management skills
- Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
