Financial System Analyst (Sap)- Contract - Public Sector

Launch is working with one of the NSW Govt Departments who are looking for an experienced Financial System Analyst to join their team

About the role

In this role you will be an experienced Financial System Analyst working within the finance team to support a critical implementation of SAP S/4 Hana.
The role is paying up to $60.00 + super per hour.
Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and document the Financial operational processes and procedures.
• Support the finance and corporate teams with their financial management, accounting and external reporting.
• Be responsible for UAT testing, and identifying and reporting on any issues as they arise and understand the various features of SAP to advise on how they can use the system as efficiently as possible.
• Analysis of complex data using visualization to liaise with the finance team.
• Answer questions, complaints and any escalations with regards to technical issues from internal and external stakeholders.

Skills / Experience Required:

• At least 3 years experience working in a similar role.
• Strong experience working with Financial Systems including SAP is essential for this role.
• Accounting experience or some qualifications with a good understanding of how PL and balance sheets work.
• Experience with Excel and finance reporting.
• Knowledge of PowerBI would also be highly desirable.
• Experience in UAT testing and ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders quickly to resolve issues.
• Proven experience in owning operational processes and procedures around Financial System.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to a liaise with senior stakeholders up to CFO level when needed.
• Ability to multi-task and take on various activities as needed with a good attitude to learn new things.
