Findon Technical College will be a visionary institution that aims to revolutionise technical education in South Australia. The State Government is investing in Technical Colleges that will set the standard for excellence in their design, learning environment and delivery of skills-based training for school-enrolled students.
Co-located with Findon High School, Findon Technical College will be the first South Australian Technical College to open in 2024, catering for a minimum of 120 students in its first year.
Findon Technical College will offer three industry training programs specialising in: Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering, Early Childhood Education and Care, and Health and Social Support.
We are actively seeking individuals with expertise in Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering who are eager to explore a rewarding career in education. We are in search of dedicated professionals to assist the Industry Training Program teacher to deliver our Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering program.

Why choose us and what will you do?
The first of 5 Technical Colleges, Findon will provide opportunities for students from years 10 to 12 to undertake specialist industry training programs.
This position will focus on the delivery of quality training that allows students to fulfil the requirements of a VET qualification whilst they are completing their other educational requirements and is accountable to the Industry Training Program Specialisation lead for providing current and authentic industry learning activities that develop the skills and knowledge required by employers in the workplace.
Defence and security, mining and construction are some of South Australia’s most exciting and fastest growing industries. We have partnered with global leaders in defence, BAE Systems, and global leaders in engineering and manufacturing, Liebherr, to develop Findon Technical College’s Advanced Manufacturing and engineering industry training program. As the program trainer you will prepare students to step straight into entry level positions or continue studying through VET or university to pursue a wide range of more specialised career options.
The Advanced Manufacturing and engineering program features a broad range of topics including:
- Welding and fabrication
- Computer-aided design and drafting (CADD)
- Robotics
- Automation
As a trainer in the Technical College, you will:
- Provide leadership in the development, evaluation, and delivery of a broad range of industry experiences within the Industry Training program in line with identified industry workforce development needs.
- Provide high level assistance to the Industry Training Program teachers to implement and evaluate new curriculum in the context of the industry specialisation.
- Assist the ITP teachers to instruct groups of students within the industry training program.
- Provide high level advice and assistance to support students with industry connections and opportunities in the workplace.
