The Role: Fire Alarm Technician (SA Team)

Airmaster is currently seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our SA team, contributing to ongoing routine maintenance and service work. The role involves effectively managing and delivering the Fire Alarm work requirements, covering Test, Inspection and Maintenance, Repair, Ad-hoc, and Contract/Project works, depending on the applicant's skillset. This includes undertaking technical, supervisory, operational, customer support, and reporting responsibilities associated with these works.

Key Competencies:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Strong knowledge of Fire Alarm/EWIS system inspection, testing, and maintenance, aligned with relevant Australian Standards.
  • Willingness to acquire a comprehensive understanding of AS1851, providing clients with real-time resolutions.
  • Experience with FIP programming, fault finding and repairs.
  • Cert 2 accreditation preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment.
  • Reliability, self-motivation, and a professional appearance.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a pleasant phone manner.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Excel and office-based databases.
  • Willingness to undergo a national police background check.
  • Full vaccination against Covid-19.
