Singleton Electec is an electrical business (moving into fire) servicing the Singleton and surrounding areas for 30 years. We are based in Mount Thorley 12km from Singleton township. We service from the Newcastle area up to the Upper Hunter area. We are a diverse electrical business from Domestic, Industrial, Rural, Solar and Level 2 ASP works.
Qualifications & experience
- Electrical certificate of proficiency or Contractors/Supervisors license
- Experience working as a fire service technician (preferably with a Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing)
- Construction White Card
- NSW Class C Drivers license (Able to drive manual)
- WWC Check NSW
Desirable (Not essential)
- Working safely at heights
- Experience with fire systems in accordance with AS1851-2012.
- ASP 2 Qualification
- EWP Qualification
Tasks & responsibilities
- Working as a residential, commercial, rural and industrial electrician
- Testing portable fire equipment as per AS2444
- Testing exit emergency lighting as per AS2293
- Repair fire protection equipment (fire alarms, evacuation systems) to Australian Standards
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to train and mentor apprentices on a daily basis.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Understanding and commitment to Work, Health & Safety
