Make a difference to young people and join one of Tasmania’s most innovative primary health services. The Link Youth Health Service (The Link) supports young people within Hobart and Southern Tasmania by providing a range of free and confidential Health and Wellbeing services for young people aged 12-25.

As part of The Link, headspace Hobart delivers integrated primary health, mental Health and alcohol and other drug services to young people aged 12-25 years in a youth friendly environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a caring and passionate First Nations Health and Wellbeing Worker to join our team.

To provide:

  • flexible, coordinated and evidence-based Health and Wellbeing options to young people. 
  • support to young people to work towards their Health and Wellbeing goals. 
  • work in a culturally respectful way to respond to the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and their mob and/or culturally and linguistically diverse young people and their families. 

About You

You will:

  • have a minimum of a Certificate IV qualification or similar or be willing to complete further study. 
  • have experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander young people and their families. 
  • have experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse young people and their families. 
  • have a positive outlook on the Health and Wellbeing of ALL young people. 
  • have good communication skills and be able to communicate with a diverse group of young people, their families and stakeholders. 

Essential Requirements

Evidence of the following must be provided prior to appointment to the position: 

  • A current Tasmania Working with Vulnerable People Registration 
  • A current National Police Check 
  • A current COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
