We are currently accepting applications for a permanent full-time Reel Technician to work onsite and join our Shimano Australia Fishing division in Caringbah.
The primary duties will include but are not limited to.
- Servicing and repairing of Fishing Reels to the highest possible standard.
- Identifying Fishing Reel faults, failures and assist other team members to repair reels.
- Contribute to and liaise with spare parts team.
- To work together as a team to meet minimum turnaround times for reel repairs.
- Ensure data integrity to assist in stock level management for spare parts.
- Assist with the picking and/or packing of orders.
- Assist in rolling stock takes of parts.
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- Good written and verbal communication skills with a customer centric attitude
- Be computer literate.
- Mechanically minded, ability to diagnose, read schematics, undertake mechanical repairs, action mechanical faults and problem solve independently.
- Confident to handle and operate electrical hand tools.
- Demonstrate high attention to detail and take pride in work.
- Keen, reliable, and enthusiastic to learn, a true team player.
- Have full Australian Working rights.
- Familiarity of Shimano products
- Prior experience in servicing of Fishing Reels or working in a similar workshop is highly regarded.
This position would suit an individual who is mechanically minded and familiar with Shimano fishing products / equipment. The successful candidate will be working onsite in our Caringbah Head Office and be required to a work an alternating work pattern from 7am to 3pm, and then from 9am to 5pm.
