Fishing Reel Technician

Shimano Australia Fishing is seeking an enthusiastic and mechanically minded individual to join our head office team in Caringbah.

We are currently accepting applications for a full-time Fishing Reel Technician to join our Shimano Australia Fishing division in Caringbah (Sutherland Shire).
The primary duties will include but are not limited to.

• Servicing and repairing of Fishing Reels to the highest possible standard.
• Identifying Fishing Reel faults, failures and assist other team members to repair reels.
• Contribute to and liaise with spare parts team.
• To work together as a team to meet minimum turnaround times for reel repairs.
• Ensure data integrity to assist in stock level management for spare parts.
• Assist with the picking and/or packing of orders.
• Assist in rolling stock takes of parts.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

• Good written and verbal communication skills with a customer centric attitude
• Be computer literate.
• Mechanically minded, ability to diagnose, read schematics, undertake mechanical repairs, action mechanical faults and problem solve independently.
• Confident to handle and operate electrical hand tools.
• Demonstrate high attention to detail and take pride in work.
• Keen, reliable, and enthusiastic to learn, a true team player.
• Have full Australian Working rights.
• Familiarity of Shimano products
• Prior experience in servicing of Fishing Reels or working in a similar workshop is highly regarded.

This position would suit an individual who is mechanically minded and familiar with Shimano fishing products / equipment. The successful candidate will be working onsite in Caringbah at our Head Office. and be required to a work from 7am to 3pm, and then from 9am to 5pm. In return Shimano Australia Fishing will provide ongoing training, onsite free parking, and access to EAP programs.
