SalaryWe are looking for talented Fitters and Turners to join our client's highly skilled team of industrial professionals with over 40 years combined mechanical, electrical, water treatment and automation experience. This position is full-time permanent based in Brisbane, QLD.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment according to safety standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform fitting, turning, and machining tasks to fabricate parts and components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements.
- Operate machinery such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.
- Fabricate, weld, and assemble metal components using various techniques including arc welding and brazing.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Fitter and Turner in an industrial setting.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with expertise in operating machining tools and equipment.
- Welding certification and experience in metal fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to industrial machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship preferred.
- Candidates must have Australian working rights
