About the role
This position will be for a conventional Machinist. The scope of work will involve working on a variety of small to medium sized projects in our workshop. Your role will include:
- Setting up and operating manual lathe and milling machines
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings
- Using precision measuring instruments
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Adhere to Work health and safety procedures
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have the following key attributes:
- Trade qualifications
- Be able to interpret and understand engineering drawings
- Competently operate manual Lathe and Milling machines
- Ability to work to tight tolerances
- Be mechanically minded and use initiative
- Attention to detail
- Have a strong understanding and commitment to safety
- Basic CNC machining experience is an advantage, but not essential
