Our Peak Mine comprises several underground polymetallic (gold, lead, zinc, copper, and silver) and an 800 thousand tonnes per annum (ktpa) processing plant. The Mine is located in the northern Cobar Basin in western NSW, a short distance from the historical town of Cobar.

The Role
The key objective of this role is to perform maintenance tasks both breakdown and servicing on underground fixed plant equipment. Complete tasks assigned by maintenance supervisor and superintendent, engage with Aurelia Metals own store system,ensure a safe and productive work environment is always maintained.
This role is offered on a 7/7 Rotating Day/Night roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventative maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and manuals with a focus on maintaining safety and maximising production
- Resolve operational or technical equipment problems to minimise processing/manufacturing interruptions resulting from equipment breakdowns/failures.
- Ability to attend call outs for brake downs as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of shops and work areas
- Maintain cost focus and reduce wastage of materials.
- Provide input into planned maintenance tasks.
- Assist in development of safe work procedures and JSA’s.
- Work as an effective member of the Maintenance team, including contributing to a positive team environment and supporting the training and development of apprentices.
About you
- Mechanical fitter or Boilermaker Trade Certificate qualification
- Current NSW ‘C’ class driver’s license or equivalent
- High risk licence, Forklift, Franna/Slew crane, Rigging, Dogman (Desirable)
- Previous demonstrated experience utilising trade qualifications in an underground mining environment
- Developed interpersonal skills with strong customer focus.
- Ability to communicate with all levels across operation and external parties.
- Demonstrated experience in fixed plant assets, including crushing and hoisting systems, dewatering systems, ventilation systems along with other underground and surface infrastructure.
- Ability to monitor and maintain fixed plant equipment costs.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure safety of maintenance personnel associated with fixed plant equipment maintenance.
- Pronto experience (Desirable)
- Strong work order reporting skills with attention to detail.
