Job Objective:

The role of a Fitter (General), is to fit and assembles metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipment, work on machinery in a mechanical capacity, and assist with machinery and equipment maintenance as required. Given the diversity of the Monk businesses, this role will be dynamic and will require the successful applicant to be able to adapt quickly and work to time sensitive time lines.

Tasks & duties:

• Ensure all equipment and machinery and other assets of the business are maintained to the highest standard
• Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures
• Complete work as instructed or directed by the Monk Ag Management Team.
• Ensuring all works completed are to the highest standard.
• Complete appropriate job reports and accurate record keeping
• If directing an apprentice ensure all paperwork is complete and compliant and apprentice is being given appropriate training, supervision, and guidance.
• Order and source parts and materials as required
• Undertake mechanical and maintenance work as required.

to be successful for this position the applicant will ideally hold the following Skill Level:

• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications
