Jump Start your career with a Fitter Machinist Apprenitceship!

Skillset alongside Hort Enterprises Orange are seeking applications for their new Fitter Machinist Apprenticeship in Orange, NSW. This entry-level role is a great opportunity to gain hands on experience whilst learning from industry experts and take on a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical, over a 4 - year period.

This qualification is recognised on the Australian Apprenticeships Priority List. The successful candidate may be eligible for the Australian Apprentice Training Support Payment of up to $5000 over the first 2 years of the Apprenticeship.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assist qualified Mechanical Fitters with general maintenance and repairs
  • Machining components using lathes and milling machines
  • Visit sites to scope and gather project information
  • Perform engineering measurements and calculations
  • Use hand and power tools
  • And more!

We Want Individuals Who Ideally:

  • Have a genuine interest in the engineering industry
  • Have skills such as problem solving, adaptability and high attention to detail
  • Can show an understanding of Workplace Health and Safety Procedures
  • Hold a White Card (or a willingness to obtain one prior to commencement)
  • Hold a minimum P1 Drivers Licence (or reliable transport to and from work)
