Our client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fitting Operator to join their dynamic team on a casual basis, with the potential for permanent placement based on performance. The Fitting Operator will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.Starting time: 6am
Responsibilities:
- Install and repair telecommunications equipment and infrastructure.
- Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to complete fitting tasks according to project requirements.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to perform fitting operations accurately.
- Collaborate with project teams to coordinate work schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to always maintain a safe work environment.
- Conduct inspections and tests to identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment and infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any maintenance or repairs conducted.
- Previous experience as a Fitting Operator or similar role in the telecommunications or construction industry is desired but not essential.
- Proficiency in operating fitting machinery and tools, such as drills, saws, and crimping tools.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues with telecommunications equipment and infrastructure.
