Fixed Income Trader

The role:
Nine Mile is searching for a capable Trader to join our Fixed Income Trading Operations based in Sydney, Australia. You will be a part of our Global Market Making and Trading team and play a pivotal role in building our Fixed Income strategy. Ideally you will have a proven track record of operating in a Trading role at a High Frequency Trading firm focussed on Fixed Income. Responsibilities of this role will include, but not limited to, trade execution, collaboration with the broader market making team and implementation of algorithmic strategies and associated tools.

• Highly adept at designing, formulating and implementing mathematical models to simulate processes needed to operate in market
• Have the ability to apply models to research-based observations, and adjusting and recasting the models
• Able to utilise your numerical analysis methods to develop algorithms and perform computations
• Can productively liaise with management and clients to determine current opportunities and risk within your Fixed Income landscape
• Are excited to develop your knowledge of the financial markets at the forefront of the industry
• Enjoy working in a constantly evolving environment with new challenges and opportunities to learn every day
• Are detail focussed whilst having an aptitude and understanding of the complex implications that make the markets operate

Successful Trader Applicants will have:

• 2+ years of relevant trading experience at a High Frequency Trading Firm
• Thorough understanding of the Fixed Income landscape
• Understanding of required pricing, hedging, and trading principles
• A passion for the financial markets
• Strong Academic record in a STEM degree

• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
