AddressThe Fixed Plant Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance and site improvements of the Jet Fuel Infrastructure (JFI) at Perth Airport while supervising a small team. The site is maintained according to Joint Industry Group (JIG) and Australian standards whilst ensuring reliability and availability of the plant 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The main tasks that you will be responsible for are:
- Training, supervising and allocating work for a small maintenance team.
- Perform maintenance tasks and inspections on tanks, pumps, filters and fuel systems, predominantly related to aviation turbine fuel (JET-A1).
- Driving a Heavy Rigid (HR), Quality Control Vehicle on airport and around aircraft to perform routine QC checks on the fuel hydrant system.
- Implement and maintain Maintenance Management System (MMS)
- Assist with improvement and expansion projects.
This is generally a Monday to Friday role, however there is room for flexible working hours and days and may include some shift work, call outs and overtime.
In this role you will receive thorough training and support to ensure that you are set up for success and have confidence performing your role.
We are open-minded about the possibilities. While we invite people with varied work backgrounds and experiences to apply, we do have some non-negotiables. These are:
- Mechanical knowledge, experience and aptitude.
- Mechanical trade such as Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of working safely in a variety of industries and environments.
- Possess a current Australian C class drivers' licence.
- Be able to obtain an ASIC and Airside Drivers Licence after clearing security/police check as required by the applicable Airport Authority
A current Australian Heavy Vehicle drivers' licence and Dangerous Goods licence would also be beneficial but not mandatory as part of your initial application.
