About The Opportunity

About The Opportunity
The role is located in Mount Isa, FIFO out of Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns.
Reporting directly to the Site Supervisor some of your responsibilities will include:
- Inspection, servicing, adjustment, troubleshooting and repair of the processing plant
- Strip and rebuild cone and jaw crushers.
- Replace belts and rollers.
- Attending to breakdowns and problem diagnosing.
- Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
- Keeping accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts inventory.
- Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous underground mine site experience in a similar role
- Completed a trade qualification as a Mechanic Fitter
- Willing to obtain a Pre-Employment Medical upon successful hire.
- Current First Aid & CPR or willingness to obtain.

- Ability to demonstrate reliability and consistently deliver high-quality work, ensuring efficient and effective repairs and maintenance of diesel engines.
- A collaborative approach by working effectively as part of a team, sharing knowledge, and communicating effectively to achieve common goals.
- Initiative by proactively identifying and addressing issues, seeking continuous improvement opportunities, and staying updated on industry advancements to provide top-notch service.
