A Fixed-Wing Retrieval Consultant will work as part of an aeromedical team on LifeFlight’s Fixed-Wing Jets. You will undertake domestic transfers and international repatriation, for patients across Queensland and overseas.
Working in Townsville and or Brisbane we are offering, a three (3) year fixed -term contract on a part-time basis, ranging from 0.125 FTE to full-time. Shifts patterns are one week (7 consecutive days) working a 24/7 on-call roster.
About You
You are passionate about patient care with excellent clinical skills. You also have the following skills and attributes:
- Consultant level experience in Emergency Medicine, ICU, Anaesthetics, or Rural and Remote Medicine.
- Ability to facilitate rapid assessment, critical care, and transport of patients in the PHRM environment
- Past experience in aeromedical retrieval or pre-hospital care.
- Experience working in a dynamic environment using your skills and clinical experience to deliver exceptional patient care
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Hold registration with AHPRA
- Eligibility and successful application for an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
