Fleet Dispatcher

What you’ll beworking on

The Fleet Allocator role is working in a fast-pacedteam environment within the Sameday Local Courier operation. You will beresponsible for ensuring a high level of service to our customers urgentSameday courier services by efficiently managing and allocating jobs to thefleet of drivers.

• Workwithin a Sameday Radio Room, being our first point of contact for ourprofessional couriers
• AllocateLocal courier jobs to Sameday couriers in an efficient, effective manner tomeet service delivery times
• Plan& prioritise jobs in a fast-paced environment
• Applyknowledge of transport dispatch, freight management, and GPS Tracking systems
• Assistwith collation of data for recording and achieving KPI’s (Service Quality)
• Communicateeffectively with other allocators & quality control staff to ensureefficient job allocation

Working Hours: AMshift 6.00am-2.00pm Monday to Friday

• Highlevel of geographic knowledge of Melbourne
• Excellentpersuasive skills/negation skills in dealing with driver queries.
• Abilityto understand drivers’ strengths and abilities in undertaking urgent timecritical deliveries
• Generalunderstanding of COR and Dangerous Goods polices
• Strongrelationship management with drivers and customers
• Reliabilitywith a can-do attitude and the willingness to go above and beyond for thecustomer
• Abilityto work in a fast-paced environment
