All the required tools necessary to perform the job are supplied on site. The position works a fortnightly roster which may require you to work an evening shift, on these occasions penalty rates will apply.
About the role:
carry out scheduled service, maintenance and repairs or breakdown response service on a range of Council fleet, plant and outdoor power equipment
identify and diagnose problems from electronic (12/24V systems), hydraulic and mechanical systems
read equipment manuals and schematics both paper and digital based; and assist in keeping accurate service records across the entire range of Council operated fleet, plant and equipment
use asset management software to comply with all service, repairs and maintenance

We are seeking:
a trade qualified mechanic to work in a stable Local Government workshop that's just a short trip from the Gold Coast or Tweed
practical experience in workshop operations undertaking work on a wide variety of plant and equipment including trucks
a current vehicle licence - MR or above
someone wanting to expand their skills and experience in a positive and secure environment
