We are currently seeking applications for a Fleet Services Lead,to join South Australian Government Financing Authority at TheDepartment of Treasury & Finance for a period of 12 months.
Remuneration: ASO5 – Salary Range($84,522 - $94,003 p.a.).

The South Australian Government Financing Authority (SAFA) isthe central financing authority, captive insurer and manager of thepassenger and light commercial fleet operations for the Governmentof South Australia. It also provides extensive financial andcommercial advisory services to the South Australian publicsector.
SAFA plays an integral role in the overall management of theState Government's finances and risks, harnessing economies ofscale and expertise in financial and insurance markets to provide arange of treasury, insurance, commercial advisory and vehicle fleetmanagement services.
About the opportunity:
The Fleet Services Lead is accountable for the efficientmanagement of the short-term hire component of the StateGovernment’s passenger fleet. The incumbent providessupervision to the Fleet Services Officers to ensure that customerfocus is maintained and that customer needs are maximised bymaintaining a viable leasing service including an appropriate mixof vehicles for metropolitan, country and outback travel. Theincumbent manages the Judicial and MP vehicle schemes.
The key outcomes of the role are;
- Managing conflicting priorities and timelines for servicedelivery.
- Maintaining positive business relationships with seniorpublic sector clients.
- Delivering regular and proactive dialogue exchanges thatmanage client expectations for service delivery from thirdparty suppliers.
The Fleet Services Lead reports to the Manager, Fleet, and hasextensive working relationships with senior management within thedivision. The position is the liaison with Executives and seniormanagement and staff at all levels from external agencies andreports to members of Parliament and their Electorate Offices onvehicle related matters including vehicle selection, ordering, andtraffic infringement notices. They are responsible for staff of thebooking office and carpool.
