Our fully qualified layers easily earn a few thousand a week and only vary rarely work overtime or on weekends. In the meantime, apprentices under 21 will take home $20 an hour and over 21's $28, well above the award rate while you learn valuable new skills.
Flooring is an easily overlooked career path and one not frequently taken up by apprentices. As such the industry is suffering from a chronic lack of skilled workers. Unlike in many other trades and industries, demand for qualified flooring experts outstrips those qualified to lay it. As such, you'll never be out of work and always be well paid.

What the role will include:
As a Flooring Apprentice with us you will learn to lay almost anything that can be laid on a floor. Our installers who you’ll learn from and work alongside install engineered timber, hybrid, laminate, vinyl and carpet. In addition, you’ll learn the ins and outs of pull up and removal of existing flooring, cleaning, scraping and leveling subfloors as well as dealing with customers and the onsite shaping and cutting in of products.
