Flooring Apprentice

This is a role to be filled by only the brave and those looking to be challenged. We're seeking an individual that is highly motivated and dedicated to join our team as a Flooring Installer Apprentice in the commercial construction sector.

We’ve proudly traveled throughout Australia working on an incredible portfolio of sporting spaces and have taken our skills internationally across the US, NZ, UK & Dubai. We’ve even traveled internationally to train other flooring installers as a testament to our specialised skills.

Position Overview

Certificate III in Flooring Technology qualification

As a Flooring Installer Apprentice, you will undertake your formal studies onsite at TAFE with the support of Verto and continue expanding those skills onsite across various projects. You will work on developing your skills in site surveying, surface preparation, floor levelling, concrete care, carpet, vinyl and sports flooring. 

The position on offer is a Full-Time position only.

Our office is located in Rouse Hill and all staff employed at Julius Flooring are locals. We encourage locals to consider this position that supports the opportunity for new staff to participate in the many mid work and after work activities we all socially participate in.

Our team load their vehicles each day from our Rouse Hill office before leaving together. 

What kind of team mate we're seeking:

• Upbeat attitude. We can teach the trade but we can't teach a good attitude and this is by far the most important quality we are seeking.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Our entire reputation is built on our quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. We're a close knit supportive team so slotting in amongst our current crew is important.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will engage with other trades, builders and clients and your professional communication is appreciated both in-house and on site.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced professionals.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy materials and equipment. Flooring materials are heavy and require you to manually and often lift/move these materials around site. A physical/medical may be required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• WWCC or willingness in obtaining. We complete alot of Education projects and this is a requirement.
• Current white card or willingness to obtain.
• National Police Check. We undertake alot of projects in Aviation, Government, Aged Care and Health Care and this is a requirement.
• Passport or willingness in obtaining.
• Preferred local to the Hills District NSW.

Please Note:

Our team have commitments through the year already secured for interstate projects. This position entails frequent travel with all costs covered by Julius Flooring that can extend from a few days to a few weeks. It provides wonderful experiences for all our team involved whilst working and at the end of the days but please consider your application carefully if travel isn't something you are able to commit too.

Our team travel daily throughout Sydney for the various projects we undertake. Our projects are not undertaken in house at our Rouse Hill warehouse and can be rare that we undertake local jobs if you're seeking a local position.
