ROLE DESCRIPTION
This apprenticeship is an excellent opportunity for individuals to gain a trade qualification (CertIII in Flooring Technology). During the 4 year apprenticeship period, both in-house and RTO training will be conducted. This active, hands-on job requires an energetic attitude and the ability to lean and assist with all things flooring. No two days will be the same as you collaborate with respective teams and stakeholders in delivering outstanding services to our customers. Your eye for detail is paramount in a job well done. Training and mentoring for this role will be provided. Your experience will enable you to problem solve and provide options to rectify challenges with installation. BMW Flooring provides formal training and practical experience, you will have the opportunity and be responsible for performing the following tasks under the supervision of a trade qualified Floor Technician:
- Assisting with Floor preparation
- Work autonomously and follow directions
- Assist with vinyl, carpet, and timber installation
- Regularly use trade-related hand and power tools safely
- Site cleaning and maintenance
- Wearing appropriate PPE while undertaking tasks
- Working in line with all Work Health and Safety regulations
- Managing warehouse operations & ensuring tool and machinery maintenance
- Organise jobs and worksite under supervision

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Divers license and own transport
- White Card required
- Energetic and friendly
- Be able to work and communicate effectively in a team
- Well presented and great at organising time and materials
- Attentive to detail and accuracy
- Enjoy physical work
- Physically fit, able to lift heavy objects and perform manual labour tasks
- Willingness to undertake a Working with Children Check
- Willingness to undertake a National NSW Police Check
- Willingness to undertake a Physical Assessment
- Willingness to undertake Aptitude and Personality Assessments
- Willingness to have flu or covid immunisations if required
