That’s The JW Treatment™.About the rolePlan, coordinate and control the day-to-day operations of the Events Outlet within our Luxury Hotel ensuring smooth and successful operations with the highest level of customer service and a favorable projection of the Hotel's superior image. Reporting to the Events Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of this fast-paced luxury hotel. Leading by example with a hands-on approach you will support and develop a team who thrive in a high-pressure environment, whilst ensuring their engagement in the delivery of personalized and attentive customer service.Critical responsibilities:
- Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible.
- Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings
- Answer questions on menu selections.
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recook orders, and product availability.
- Communicate with guests and other employees and ensure staff is working together as a team to ensure optimum service.
- Exchange information with other employees using electronic devices (e.g., pagers and two-way radios, email).
- Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees; and serve as a role model.
- Support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Serve as a departmental role model or mentor by working alongside employees to perform technical or functional job duties.
- Listen to hourly employees' suggestions for improving how work is done and how guests are served, gaining management support as needed to act upon suggestions.
- Collaborate with management to formally recognize hourly employees' performance contributions.
- Assist management in establishing and communicating goals, performance expectations, timetables and deadlines for shift or departmental operations to hourly employees and ensure that they are understood.
- Proven ability and experience in motivate, mentor and manage a small team.
- Specialized knowledge of beverage and Beverage procedures, as well as methods used in the management of an F&B outlet, and the production and control thereof.
- Professional experience of 2 years running an exclusive Food and Beverage outlet, and experience in implementing procedures and training staff.
