Mercy Health Albury have a 30 bed inpatient hospital, offering a range of services to the region. We can offer you a supportive team environment and job security.
We have a dedicated team that provides an excellent service to our patients. This position is responsible for ensuring that patients are provided quality fresh cooked meals under the guidance of a head chef.
Our kitchen produces between 90-150 freshly cooked meals per day. The successful applicant will be responsible for various kitchen duties to assist with the preparation of meals, assembly of trays and delivery/ collection of meals.
You will work closely alongside our diverse team at Mercy Health, becoming part of a team all working to provide great care for our patients. This is a great opportunity to work within a valued team, Mercy Health understand the importance our kitchen staff bring to a hospital environment. Our kitchen service staff interact with patients and staff on a daily basis so we are seeking someone who is passionate about the value of service they provide.
This supportive team environment will see the applicant attend a well-supported orientation to suit their needs.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- No experience needed
- Food handler's certificate or equivalent, or can be completed before commencement
- Working for a values based employer as a respected team member
- Working in a supportive team environment, with others who want to make a difference
- We do not roster split shifts
- No shifts commence before 8:00am or finish after 7:30pm, shifts of 8hrs
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience in cleaning is not needed, we only expect that you have a willingness to learn
- Motivated person who is able to work unsupervised
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to provide vaccination evidence as per PD2022_030 Occupational Assessment Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases
